I know the hard and the soft side of design.

At Stanford University in CA, I studied mechanical engineering and developed a keen sense of the working idea. With a concentration in product design, I was able to see ideas come to life. And work.

I expanded this training in my woodworking. Under Michael Meyer, I learned to take a complicated request and reduce it to a cut list and a diagram. Woodworking gave me insight into the constructive design process.

I took all of that with me to Intuit, where I worked in the Design Services department building websites for small businesses.

In the last two and half years, I developed relationships with hundreds of small business owners. We worked together to bring their humble dreams of a web presence into fully designed and working websites.

At the same time, I developed a love for data analysis. Working on a full team and managing a second gave me plenty of opportunities to crunch numbers. I love taking raw data and turning it into an attractive graph that people can understand.

From wood, in numbers, or on the web, a design has to work and it has to look good. If not, the ship won’t sail.

My passion is for bringing these elements together.
